helpful hint for tired travellers
If you wake up a few minutes after breakfast at your hotel has officially ended, and you manage to get there in time to grab some scrambled eggs and hash browns, only to discover that all of the silverware has already been put away, just remember this: those little coffee stirrers may be too flexible to make good chopsticks, but they'll do in a pinch.

So, what exactly do coffee stirrers do "in a pinch" if they are too flexible to be used as copsticks? :)
I think I've had to do something like that before. I gathered 8 to 10 coffee stirrers in a bundle and then essentially employed the compound unit as a shovel.
Well, they don't make good chopsticks, but you can still use them that way. It's just rather time-consuming.
